The small things

52 Photos...Week 38

In the spirit of ‘...next year's words await another voice’ {TS Eliot}, I wanted to do something creative each day this month. I have been furiously sewing myself a pretty top {Collette ‘Laurel’ vs.4!} in rather optimistically thin cotton lawn {I’m in a wintry England right now}, and have also tried to take photos every day...even of the little things. A moment of peace and balance; a nighttime candle and a pause to write.

  1. This is a wonderful resolution! I have a creative job, but I want to spend more time creating outside of work with what *I* want to do.

    1. Aw, thanks Emily. I know, it's difficult to get that balance with so much going in everyday isn't it?

  4. I've been wanting to try a Collette pattern for awhile now. You'll have to share your finished Laurel top! :D

    1. I am really impressed so far! I have the Laurel and the Zinnia patterns, although only made Laurel tops so far- really easy to follow and to customize too!
(and just put up some photos but need to find a better one of the tops in full ;))
