In bloom

Spring is in town and it's marvellous.

Spring is like a perhaps hand

(which comes carefully

out of Nowhere) arranging

a window, into which people look (while

people stare

arranging and changing placing

carefully there a strange

thing and a known thing here) and

changing everything carefully

spring is like a perhaps

Hand in a window

(carefully to

and fro moving New and

Old things, while

people stare carefully

moving a perhaps

fraction of flower here placing

an inch of air there) and

without breaking anything.

Still

Just to remind me of some of the simple pleasures of life in general and of having my folks here...not so much the touristy stuff (although that is awesome) but the sitting around relaxing and chatting, doing nothing much stuff. They are on their way home to the other side of the world now. I already miss them like crazy (and sorry for being such an airport cryer :(). ❤

Still life

For Week 25

Almost last day off. Enjoying being an auntie, even though I feel far away, I am so lucky to have my gorgeous nephew. I am going to spend today drinking coffee and walking and reading for work next week...trying not to spend all my money on ridiculous baby things :)

A moment

Week 17
...in a very busy week. Nice-busy, but thank goodness for flat whites and five minutes with a good book. My macro filters were the closest I could come to emulating that smell and feel of a book, all the fibres on the pages, as despite my Kindle love- which remains as strong as ever- I still manage to have a hefty hardback book on the go as well :) I have also realised that alongside my travels, I seem obsessed with documenting food and coffee, eeek!

Back

I seem to have had a short hiatus from technology- it has been rather nice though and I also seem to have taken rather a lot of film photos. I have been at home in England as well, although I am about to go back to New Zealand again for another year....it's a funny set of feelings, changes, new things, and sadness. I liked thinking about this photo prompt this week though...

Festival of Flowers

This weekend our local park had a rose and flower festival. If only photos could have smells attached- that first rose was gorgeous.

Spring fling

Spring ♥: Gorgeous Thursday evening light, new (old) op-shopped teacup, new nails and a touch of daffodil in support of Wales at the rugby :)

Rainy days

To celebrate having a day off...a massive storm swept in! It will be interesting to see if any of my film photos came out on the wild beach. Back home in the warm to dry off, drink tea, write letters and in my notebook- (and play with macro filters in the weird stormy darkness!)

Music + Pictures

Spring = gorgeous flowers and blossoms all around, so I bought some macro filters to play around with. These were some experimental shots from a few weekends ago. They seem to sum up this afternoon as well- writing down ideas, drinking coffee, marking 40+ essays, and listening to Bon Iver. I was listening to this song in particular when I thought of them and started on some new ideas.
