Rarotonga {on film}

I love how these photos have come out. There is something about Fisheye camera + ISO 200 old film + Rarotonga which just equates to loveliness in my eyes.... Mind you, any camera plus Muri beach= a nice shot- what a stunning place. It has been as hot in New Zealand lately, but the appeal of hot, humid days somewhat wanes when you have you go to work... funny that ;)

Fisheye Ode to Kiwi Summer

I love everything about my summer film from my Lomo Fisheye camera. Even though, predictably, there's one shot of the lens cap {every time!}  and few starring appearances by my finger, there are also many good memories. These are all from NZ road-tripping this past month or so. Wish I was still by one of these beachy spots :)
{Happy Waitangi Day NZ!}

Home is where the heart is

It doesn't seem too long ago that I was over-excited, packing up Christmas presents and getting ready to head home to the UK. My trip seems to have flown by so quickly and now  it's back to New Zealand. Saying goodbye is always hard to do, especially when you've had the loveliest of times, I can't help feeling I have a foot on two continents at the moment. I suppose it's a sign of good things when you don't want them to end. 2012 is going to be a good year and I am determined to make the most of my Kiwi times while they last (and the sunshine and lovely light!!)- even if I still wish I could squeeze my family and friends into my case...

Vineyards & sunshine

Brick Bay vineyards, near Matakana {with some Lomo fun too...love the difference in effect with each camera- literally taken one after the other on the same day :)}

Looking up

From a colour film just back...brilliant blue skies must mean summer is here!

These are some near-expired Kodak Portra, Lomo-style....I don't know what possessed me, it kind of felt like going to a festival in your best designer shoes! :) I was hobbling around injured at the time and didn't want to carry my big SLR or even film compact (as it is old and clunky) and I didn't have any other film....a bit of a will-it-come-out-or-will-I-waste-my-expensive-film gamble. I quite like these though!

For an awesome Christmas present for a good cause see the link on Amanda's blog today here. The Epic Thanks website is here.

What I'm looking forward to....

Going to the beach, lying in the park in the sunshine, listening to great music outside, festivals....more fun with my Lomo Fisheye camera- it is the perfect summer holiday camera I think!

This is a unique Sunday afternoon posting as this afternoon is actually going to go crazy....Rugby World Cup Semi, NZ vs. Oz....eek!

Last summer...on the way to Cathedral Cove

Music festival fun the Auckland way....on an island in the sun :)

Beautiful Cathedral Cove
