Spring madness

I've had an unintentional hiatus from being technical- which is an okay thing- but also from being creative- which isn't. Bizarrely, am taking a peaceful five minutes to go through scanned film and upload from my digital camera, and it is the most intense spring evening- the atmosphere is so heavy with impending thunder, you can almost smell it.

My main task for today was to cook for a friend's baby shower and I made these dark chocolate and sea salt cookies (recipe here)...I must confess to being a bit dubious ( salt...chocolate...?) but now I am convinced.  I loved the way they sparked on the plate saying eat meeeeee :) I also got into a flurry and baked my own granola- rolled oats, pumpkin seeds, almonds, raisins, local orange blossom honey, vanilla extract, ginger and lots of cinnamon. It is not going to last long- it might be my favourite creation in a while.

Now to perfect food photos and develop some film...

I love homemade granola, and your combination sounds awesome - I think it's about time I made some!
