Arrowtown

Arrowtown is a little former gold-mining town not far from Queenstown. The considerable lens flare {luckily I love lens flare so just went with it!} shows what a gorgeous hot day it was, despite being officially autumnal. The main street itself is so pretty, but we especially fell in love with the Lakes District Museum. We were even inspired to splash about in the glacial-cold river, although there were no gold claims staked for us :)

If- when!- I go back, I'd like to see a film at Dorothy Brown's Cinema & Bookstore. It was so beautiful, even before all the screenings as they had all the windows and doors thrown open to the sunshine and it was gorgeous. I especially loved the wee 2nd cinema room with the bean bags and sofas.
